'poems express your life'

People say pictures tell 1000 words,
Well I say pictures tell a story.
You may not think it,
but pictures
and people express childhood.
A photo album stands tall on my bookshelf,
expressing an aspect of my childhood.
Peering over me,
Observing
But not capturing.
Although it is loved now,
It was unattended to for 10 years.
it was untouched,
and unloved.
These photos framed in sea foam green weighs
equally to a block of chocolate but
emotionally weighing a ton.
It grasps my childhood at its fingertips
and I hope one day it will be in the hands of someone who will cherish and respect it so it will never be isolated again.
