Poet Tree

Swish, swish, leaves blow in the breeze,
The grass grows with ease.
We walk out and think,
To give our little tree a drink.
It’s sad watching the news
It’s like a big bruise.
So many places
We’re making bare spaces.
The main land is looking bland,
We should look after it, hand in hand.
It makes me frown, to see a tree cut down,
If we don't stop, all forests will be brown.
Remember it’s not just you and me,
Animals need land, sky and sea,
Where are the animals meant to go?
Right now, I don’t know!
Let’s take a stand
To protect the land!
So let’s keep them alive
So we can all survive!
