Protect the log

I was once a branch on the tree swing
left and right birds nesting on me I can't
imagine the day the birds left me they
thanked me for letting them live there after
that day the birds left me for three months I
was sick I didn't do my job I spread sickness
on some parts of the tree the humans came
and chopped me off from that day I was known
as a log.

Ishy mooshy grubs living in an old
log, big animals eat from the log, what will
they do if there are no logs left? The log
is big, rough and safe for little animals
to hide from predators. Animals speak
up for the log, speak to the log or the log
won't speak to you. It's safe and
good and the grubs inside make a good
diet for some animals and makes
a good home for other animals. If you don't
speak to the log, the log won't speak to you.
It means if you don't protect the log, the log
won't protect you.
