Red River

Splash splash splash as salmon lash
Blue in green
Red running the river
Now red no longer green
Hungry bears awaken
For the taking of the forest feast
Salmon no longer loud
No longer red just dead
Sitting in forest filled with dread
Tall trees grow from the red
Where eagles saw over and up ahead
Wolves howl for a meal to appeal
Salmon run, salmon fly
Salmon die in the wolf's cry
Bears growl in a fight
And wolves howl in the moonlight
As salmon flee and fight
Just to say good night.
