Reflection

One for me and one for you
Cool to the touch
But warmth flows through.
Lock and key side by side
A mixture of feelings
Bubbling inside.
Happiness, contentment
Excitement and encouragement,
Cannot be contained
Cannot be explained.
When the monsters come at night
The moon round and bright
A reminder of you the key!
I grasp it tight not letting go,
Glinting, glimmering
Shining bright once again
The lock and key side by side
Full of affection
The moon’s reflection.
