The leaves slowly drifted down to the ground

The enormous tree sheds its smooth, dry bark

The majestic tree trunk is very round 

The river bark’s hollows are very dark

The river bark arched over the small trees 

The birds loved gazing at the river gums 

The river bark is home to lots of bees 

When the wind hits the trees, it sounds like drums

The huge root grow like shooting lightning bolts  

The colourful and big wonky trunk grows

The mouse saw the gum and he came to a holt 

Beside the big gum trees the river flows

White blooms in a patch of pretty flowers

The big tree almost has magic powers
