Rock-Pools

Shores roll in as sand crunches under sore foot.
Clambering up sharp stones as tide swims back home.
Sun steadily is swept into a land of dreams.
On the stones now, pools like melted crystals glimmer and shine while sun falls down.
Inhale and exhale the dry and salty air.
Waves push hard against battered and bruised rocks.
Damp droplets plip and plop into their new homes on the stones.
Back slumps against a solid wall of quartz embodied stones.
Tired eyelids shut as the moon comes up.
Slowly leaving the rock-pools behind…
