Ron's Collar

The collar still smells like him,
The fur is still as soft as a cloud,
I know that we all do still miss him,
But he has been taken to heaven now.

It still says his name in bright navy blue,
If I still had a chance to see him again,
The three words that I would say are 'I love you',
We know that he had gone through pain.

His smiles will forever stay in my heart,
I will never forget him,
Why did heaven have to tear us apart?
I was halfway to teaching him how to swim.

He was a lovely pet to have had,
I will never forget the memories that we have shared.
