Salty Air

My feet dug into the warm sand
The seagulls squawked above
As the boat pulled away from the shore
I stopped for a moment
Tranquilised by the sun.

The ocean sparkled
Inviting me to join it
Finally, the sea persuaded me
I dove into the crystal water
Clearing my senses.

As I sank lower
My adrenaline rushed,
Fish darted inquisitively around me
The crays clicked around me like
Someone cracking their knuckles.

Suddenly I remembered I had to breathe,
I slowly floated to the surface
Breaking the surface,
The sun seemed to concentrate down towards me
Filling me with energy.
