Save The Turtles

As I glide through the grimy sea,
I inhale the polluting air.
My fellow turtles cough loudly,
It’s wafting about, everywhere.
Searching the seas, very hungry,
We then come across something gross.
My friend aims to take a big bite,
I stop him, that was way too close.
As we keep swimming up the stream,
The gross objects are more frequent.
We are all getting scared now,
I doubt these objects taste piquant.
Now I am getting really mad,
Why don’t people pick up their trash?
Feeling like we aren’t cared for,
Bleeding, blockages and a rash.
Physical and emotional,
These are the ways that we are hurt.
Let’s help the environment,
Let’s throw away the excess dirt.
