Seasons of leaves

I used to sit in my garden
Watching your leaves gently sway side to side
I would sit there for hours
Until I was called inside
I remember summertime
When your leaves were so colourful and bright
You were my umbrella
To keep out blinding light
In autumn we played hide and seek
Ducking under your crimson leaves
Barely any green
On your brown sleeves
As winter comes around
Your leaves are now gone
You're looking plain and lonely
Sitting on our lawn
Spring is now here
Your leaves are fresh and reborn
Goodbye my lovely tree
I’ll be back again at dawn
