The barren land run down by machines

Roots ripped out by heartless humans

Rain comes trickling down

In hope that a new life can be found

Between the cracks of the fields

A seedling sprouts up with glee

The next generation of our despair

Will soon lie beneath the sky

No houses, no buildings, no life

The only thing left is emptiness

Long has this been the case

But when the seedling turned into a tree

Through the dark nights and dark days

Hope has sprouted before our eyes

Only to seek planting devastation

The worthless value now shines its brightest

But greed and hunger do not feed

The key to life thrown in the sewers

Along with all our waste and humanity

The last leaf flies
