Molly was my pride and joy
She was my older sister
She’d comfort me through all the pain
No matter what I needed
She had the night sky in her big black eyes
That twinkle never went out
Her fur was as white as a pretty dove’s feathers
And was as silky as can be
The little black spot on her back, was like
A silhouette as the sun sets.
But now she’s gone and I can’t go a day without thinking
If we’ll meet again
My beautiful-natured buddy is now in heaven
For she was laid to rest.
Though she’ll always be my sister
No matter what shape or form
She’s now a canine angel in no pain or struggle.
So I’m happy she is safe
She’ll be waiting up there in heaven for me
She will be waiting…
