Sheltering from the storm

Each day we learn, research and read, about these endangered animals in need.
While most animals are asleep, the Pygmy Possums creep. This is the time for their midnight feast. While their predators are sleeping, they are eating, pollinating the eucalypts flowers at midnight hours.
The Black-flanked Wallaby, shy as can be, comes out at night for its grassland tea! It sleeps in the caves, its cool, dry friend. It munches on leaves, in the place it calls home.
Have you ever seen the small, Northern Quoll? With its reddish-brown fur, and a cream underside. When predators arrive, into the undergrowth, it will hide!
The Gouldian Finch stands out in the crowd, with stripy, bright colours it's like a spectacular circus has come to town!
In the depths of the forest, all you can hear is the great waterfall. But listen more carefully, then the magic starts with the croaks, the grunts and even growls. The Mountain Mist Frogs' music makes quite a band!
The wind whistles by the den, while the rain thuds at the opening. The Smoky Mouse is sleeping, curled up in a ball.
All the beautiful animals, sheltering from the storm; we need to look out for them, to let them reform.
