Snowy Mountains

Butterflies bubbling in my belly
Chairlift takes me high, hanging heavy
Scenery rushing by so fast
Only a small jump down but the landing is heavy
That's it
The butterflies leave
I’m free
Powder flying tall
Swerving around rocks
Shooting over rocks
A week of freedom
Warm meals
Cosy beds
Hanging poles
Drying boots
Tobogganing down hills
All so familiar yet always exciting
Sleep, then glide down the mountains again
Getting excited
Getting ready for the next time
