Squiggly Ball

Sitting in my drawer
Safe from harm
The ground starts to shake
Like an earthquake
Light as bright as a supernova
Seeps into the darkness
An excited hand rushes in
And takes him away
Thrown like a baseball
Kicked as hard as a tyre
Bounced like a cheetah
Until it rolls slowly
Silence
Birds chirp, leaves rustle
As days go by, as nights go pass
It lies forgotten, in darkness, alone
A roar as loud as a bear
A crowd rushes out, light falls upon it
It's taken inside, planted in my drawer
Safe from harm
