Summer, joyful, sunny and full of life.

The bees and butterflies fly free, tumbling in the warm breeze.

Swoosh! The whispering winds attack without warning,

A silent war without shouting.

Birds chirp loud and firm, welcoming the day.

The sun is a flashlight, keeping us out of the terrifying blackness.

Careless, calm, cloudless days, full of freedom and hope,

Sunsets painting the sky with pink, orange and red.

It feels like the day’s going on forever.

Winter, frozen, wonderful and frosty.

Leaves fall off, slowly, silently, swiftly and smoothly swaying,

Then delightfully drift down, down, down, down.

Trees bow down, showing respect and giving in.

Stars are fireflies trying to escape winter’s cruelty,

But they are trapped.

The soft snow slowly sprinkles down,

Spraying the forest white.

Snow covers the forest like a blanket,

As the forest drifts off to sleep.
