A dying breed still there

Big, magnificent, lethal

Down to Australia

Coming in near to the coast

Calm and protected

Beyond reefs and beaches

Salt all in the hot air

The sound of waves and the wind

Seeking, staying alive

Many long years passing by

The whale shark still here

They are forgotten about.
