The Blue-Ringed Octopus

In the navy night,
Lurking through the shadows,
Scanning for innocent victims,
Ready to suck and swallow,
The assassin of the sea,
Eyeing its prey,
Coming closer and closer,
Just an inch away,
Leaping onto the carless crab,
Grabbing it with its gummy fellers,
Stabbing holes in its shell,
Sucking its insides crystal clear,
Its papillae-covered lemon skin,
Wrapped with Luminescent azure rings,
as beautiful as a sapphire diamond,
Gleaming on a crown fit for a king,
Gliding across the grainy seafloor,
Brushing against the wavy corals,
Squeezing among rock crevices,
Heading to its stony burrow,
