The Book

The shiny cover gleamed
as the words imprinted the pages inside.
Colours of dark red and sky blue
crept up the smooth texture.
Lush green leaves spread continuously
across the detailed page as though it had no control.
The pages smelt rather musty as the words flew
on the flattened paper. When I read the book I didn't know
that it would be the most exciting book I’d ever read.
