The Book of Memories

I grasp the smooth red cover as red as a rose
I wrench open the photo album
The memories have been released

Pictures swirl around in my head
Me and my family having fun
As we splish splash in the sun
Memories surrounding me
It makes me want to scream with glee

I turn the page
My face is graced with a smile
The crash of the waves is ringing in my ears
The salty sea water leaves a revolting taste
I am quickly refreshed
The taste of a delicious barbecue lingers in my mouth
Oh, how I wish I could go back
