I wake up under a poor burnt tree with my young far away from me,

My tummy is rumbling,

I need to eat but my babies come first,

I cannot find any food,

I wake up in the morning and the glistening sunshine is out,

I go out scavenging for food,

I finally find some lizards for my little fledglings,

Suddenly I feel heat below me,

I do not know what it was at first,

I look down and flames are everywhere,

It is windy and the fire scatters quickly,

The lava heat is approaching at pace towards us but luckily they know how to fly and we fly speedily away,

It all started with someone lighting an illegal campfire,

Humans must not light campfires in the bushland,

Our homes are being destroyed.
