The cloaked forest

Amber leaves dance across oak trees,
Water runs through river bends
While it purposefully hits the tired old rocks.
Pine scents ride the wind and dive down onto the misty grass,
Smells tickle your nose, leaving you in a daze.
The parrots start squawking,
A family of birds talking,
Droplets trickle, the moss tickles,
Trees bashing, shadows flashing.
Gunshots fly through the air, leaving deafening sounds enveloping the forest.
Flares thrown onto nature's untouched plains let a wild red crimson smoke rip through the air.
It gives the forest a choke,
The big brown bear awoke.
Footsteps crushing the undergrowth,
Engines revving through bushes,
The defenceless forest,
Left for shreds,
Only for the tree's arms and legs.
Rumbling and grumbling throughout the night,
Trucks beep off with bark and leaves.
No more forest to be seen.
