The Cockatoo Flies

High up, the black cockatoo flies,
Dancing and twirling its wings in the skies.
Beatifully majestic, it glides through the blue,
Its magical feathers a void black hue.
Oh cockatoo, what has brought you to here,
Away from the nature you've held so dear.
Through the suburbs, where we let ugliness show,
Some big farming project has forced you to go.
Oh cockatoo, what they've done to your land,
New urban projects that continue to expand.
Factory buildings, spewing out smoke,
Endless black billows that make us all choke.
Oh cockatoo, this pain cannot stay,
I'll plant some trees in my backyard today.
Into a forest my saplings shall grow,
Through the suburbs, where we let ugliness show.
