The shimmering waters of the coastal bay,
The wind touching, moving everything in its way,
The birds bake their wings in the presence of the sun.
Pelicans, flamingos, toucans, peacocks,
All arrive at the destination,
Showing their plumage, lighting up the sky.
Then time slows down...
In the distance,
A metallic beast becomes one with the ocean floor,
Its rotting corpse sends dust fleeing.
An inky shade of blood envelopes the surrounding.
It
slowly
snakes
its
way
around,
hungry
for
more.
The shimmering waters drown,
Slowly and quietly from the midnight monster,
The vibrant feathers fade to black.
The added burden on the delicate feathers.
The cries of disaster.
A consumer,
Hidden from the depths of the Earth, has been released.
