The Crescent Ocean

Dusk, Dawn, Dreamy,
I feel the waves rush up against my body,
Shivers crawl down my spine as the wind flows through my hair,
I am standing on the beachfront searching, seeking, thinking of this world,
Looking for my place.
The night starts to fall upon me,
Dark shadows blanket the ocean's surface,
I venture on with the wave’s mist spraying on my face
The moonlight flashes before my eyes I feel free,
With a strike of lightning, everything disappears and the world seems worldless.
I walk from the cave of my mind and out onto the sand and
I see the light shining the deepest darkest caverns of my soul,
My barriers come crashing down with the waves and my spirit flourishes with joy,
The light is a blinding and purifying sight, lowering me into a beautiful place.
Fish skim the water, birds fly low on the surf, dolphins wave at me.
I glanced to the sight of a peaceful world,
I looked deeper, following the crescent moonlight of the ocean,
A feeling of comfort rushed through my body and I knew this was a safe place,
A crystal clear ocean lay before me and nothing was in my way,
I felt free.
