The Eagle’s Eye

As bold as the Eagle’s Eye,
As gold as can be,
It was once held in his hands,
He wore it when he took his final glance.

Holding memories of joy, sadness and anger,
Memories of holidays, special occasions and danger,
Football games, live and on TV,
Music of all kinds.

Hard work and beads of sweat,
Peaceful naps with not one fret,
All of this with not one regret,
My grandad’s necklace is all of this and more.
