The Enclosure

Gecko in a tank
Eats Indian House Crickets
Quiet all the time
Spotty and black eyed
Watching us through the glass frame
It dreams of other places
Outside of the tank
Where it can scurry freely
And eat crickets whole
Lazing on a sunny rock
Not inside an enclosure
Trapped but always safe
And sound in the classroom tank.
