The Forest

The forest embraces me like home

Fresh air and sweet aromas pull me in

Countless rows of trees tower over me

The gentle animals greet me kindly

The ground is a path that stretches across plains

Never-ending

Everyone all in harmony

Until we came

Now it slowly dies

Along with all the animals that call it home

Just to satisfy our greed

But it wasn't always this way

The people before us

Long before us

They truly cared for the forest

Their connection worth more than gold

They never hurt her

The forest knows what happened

And knows the truth

She will never forgive us
