The Forest

As silent as a Summer’s night,

As calming as trickling water,

I assure you dear reader that you would be amazed,

If you were staring at all the tremendous flora.

The golden sun beams down on you,

As amiable as a butterfly,

The plants and trees, so vibrant and green,

Will immediately transport you to another time.

Lorikeets chirping their exuberant song,

Pardalotes sound and squirrels scurry around,

As fast as gazelles leaping through the African savannah,

These animals are the heart of the forest.

Trees sway gracefully in the gentle breeze,

As autumn leaves begin to leisurely descend, down to the mossy forest floor,

There is so much beauty and tranquility,

That inspires the hardest of hearts to adore.

But there is definitely one important fact you should know,

Nature is an open door, for you and I to explore.
