The evergreen trees rustled in the wind,
Silence fell upon the clear night sky,
Like the forest was holding its breath,

A crack ended the silence,
It was of a stick being broken,
By the mysterious animals that lurked on the land,

The twinkle of the stars danced over the trees,
The rays of the glorious moon shone over the sparkling lake,
The coos of the awoken owls could not be denied,

The drop of a single leaf caused ripples in the untouched water,
The flowers' lush petals closed when the night fell upon them,
But the beady eyes of the creatures only opened wider,

The forest became still,
No movement at all,
Like everything became frozen in time.
