The Golden Medal

It hangs round my neck so proud and gold
Flickers of light sparkle since it is so bold
Crowds cheering joyfully through the engraved metal
As the crowd proudly cheered
It was passed around family and peers
The mid blue flows like the sea in an angry storm
The deep yellow glows like the sun
