The Gum Tree

The gum tree 

Silent night cold and dark

There lies the gum tree in all its might

Some tall, some still growing 

Its leaves are so thin

Koalas snuggle in their home 

Kangaroos jump under the canopy 

The rain falls *splash* on the leaves 

So beautiful  

Their smooth bark on my hand

So big, so beautiful, so small, so gorgeous 

I love them and they love me too 

The leaves are telling a wise old story 

Sit down and watch  

Magic will happen 

The bark was carved  

There must be a story
