It was coming to the end of the day

With a feeling of sadness left behind

Leaving my beautiful brown pony

With a touch of sadness leaving my eye

I only had something left with me

It had a rough and rusty feel to it

with a taste of my beautiful pony -

that was left behind

It was a beautiful horseshoe

It gave me great happiness and luck

With that horsey scent to it too

Faced up-right

With the lucky charm as special as a hug

Placed in the bottom left corner

The brown rustic horse shoe

So deep in my heart

Sitting there among the rest

The horse shoe as heavy as a coke can

With a three-quarter circle

Having a tinge of brown

Added to the silver

With that spark of happiness to it too

Next summer I must go out to the

Paddock again with the sound of ‘neighing’ and the whistling of the wind

Like stepping in to a picture book

Repeating my fun I had last summer

With my beautiful brown rustic horse shoe

I shall do
