The Kraken

Below the darkness,

where shadows creep

the kraken rests,

the kraken sleeps.

This giant beast,

that has caused so much death,

now makes no sound:

all is quiet, 

for the kraken sleeps.

No passing creature will dare to sound,

in the darkened waters of the seven seas

for here, a monster sleeps

the kraken, with blackened eyes that weep.

Soon, it shall awaken,

and continue to destroy once more,

unleashing its wrath upon passing ships

but for now, the kraken sleeps.
