As she hands me a rock with which I am quiet unfamiliar,
She says ‘take care of it deeply, it is the only one I have got’.

I place it on a table with a little ‘clunk’,
I stop, stare and think,
Of what a unique thing I have in front of my eyes.

A little blue frog with a funny yellow head,
Sits on a brown oval-like rock.
With it’s little beady eyes as orange as the sunset sky,
And the little gold bumps,
I say ‘oh what an interesting gift’,
‘Oh thank you’,
Thank you a lot.

Now as time has passed people have changed,
As I look down on this ‘thing’,
It reminds me of her.

It’s like a river of memories just flow in my head,
I remember all of our times together.
The good and also the bad.

But now, all I can say is you will always be in my hands,
And in my heart.
