The Magic Forest

Running, calling, swirling in the night
As I race against the lost crystal-clear stream
Running, racing in the white moonlight
As I enter a forest, enter a dream.
The world stops moving, frozen in time
And I see trees that are purely wonder
Dripping in cherries, orange and lime
Lost here I couldn't see lightning, hear thunder.
Rolling, tumbling on the dew-wet grass
As I hear the orchestra with birds and leaves
It sounded like a violin and brass
Through the entire magic forest, it weaves.
By the pond, I saw the fading black
And I watched the sun rise over spring fountains
Sad but still knowing I would come back
I slipped away to home, down by the mountains.
