The old tree

You stand so strong and still,
You are so quiet and chill,
Your whispers are carried through the wind,
You are still here with me,
You are a mother to all nature,
And we have been on a great adventure,
You are the oldest,
And still the boldest
You are still here with me,
And then I wake up one morning,
And with no warning,
You are lying down,
And without a sound,
You are not here with me.
