I guess it won’t always be the same

The orange-bellied parrot, what a wonderful name

Is losing its fame

And are we to blame?

Its blue wings won’t flap in the air

You won’t see one in your park, in the tree

Not anywhere.

And what will happen next for our small-headed friends

Will they just disappear

Poof! And they're gone

We can’t see them in another life

So do what we can before their lives are withdrawn

How could we live

And then never forgive

How could we cope

Like a world with hope

Its time to act now

Not tomorrow; until then

Before, you will never know one around

You might not see an orange-bellied parrot again.
