The Papaya Tree

Its stump is as brown as skin and as wrinkly as bark, the water droplets running down the tree leaves as if tear drops falling down. Bark covering branches, but a small chip pea can live in this Tree, I believe this Tree has wisdom. Rabbits can burrow under it and live under the big wiggly windy roots. A giant hole underground. A haven.
As Snakes slither up top and Wombats sleep down below and Owls sleep in the hollows. I look for Birds in the sky but the breeze freezes my hands, as the bark peels off like snakeskin, as the Spiders sling strangely and stringy webs, as the Cicadas sing their song ChChChChChChChChCh!
The Papaya Tree's leaves hover overhead. The swaying silk grass spreading wonderful smells of peace, quiet and mother nature. The Papaya Tree is the best thing you ever did see, the Papaya Tree walks the Earth.
