The performance above me

My eyes float up towards the stage above me.
The bees hum a beautiful melody.
The sun's rays light up the sky
As the show of a lifetime begins up high.
Clouds dance across the stage.
In time, with the breeze, the breeze of change.
They twist and turn.
They teach a story, a story that we have to learn.
A Pirouette, a Grand Jeté.
The clouds are graceful as they sway.
The trees applause,
As the stage has no flaws.
But suddenly, it all comes to a stop.
The smog is too thick, it’s all over the shop.
No one can see,
The dancers flee.
The bees don’t hum.
Factories and buildings; the sight makes you numb.
The performance is on hold.
The sad story I have told.
