The Piano

A black monster slumbers in the corner of the room,
Its shining teeth, beckoning to be touched by a gentle hand
It stands on legs as thick as oak trees
Its body as smooth, and as dark as a black cat at night
A black monster slumbers in the corner of the room,
It watches the sunlight kiss its back
It watches as she moved its teeth with grace
It watches as she made it sing sweetly
A black monster slumbers in the corner of the room,
Waiting for someone to spark life into its sleepy soul once again.
