The Promise Tree

Hope is like having a feeling of belief and desire.

Hope is like looking at a beautiful bright butterfly on fire.

My dear friend butterfly, where will you land?

Is there a safe place that you demand?

For nature is beautiful and the lush green forest trees you need.

This is our everlasting forest that grew from a single seed.

An infinite green place we call heaven on Earth.

That stretches through Sydney and right across to Perth.

As you fly gracefully across the leafy forest trees,

I promise you this, I will strive to plant a little promise tree.

This promise tree will grow strong and tall

And give you a safe home where you can freely roam.

My one true wish is to see more butterflies like you.

To make this happen, the trees we must certainly renew.

Rejuvenating our trees will not only be of benefit to you,

It will be great for the environment and mankind too.
