In lands where emerald waters meet golden sands,

Where nature's blissful symphony Rottnest still commands,

There dwells a creature, small yet full of grace,

A warm-hearted wonder, with a fearless face

With fur like spun silk, kissed by the sun's embrace,

Their smiles shine brighter, in this tranquil space,

Eyes of liquid onyx, as if stars took their place,

Meteors of beauty, in their form and their grace

But shadows loom, the world's a changing scene,

Intruding human footsteps disrupt the serene,

A dire threat emerges, an uninvited guest,

Humans causing danger, putting quokkas to the test.

Let's be the shield, for these gentle souls so demurred,

With wilfulness, our voices are sure to be heard,

In unity, we'll stand, to protect their dwelling place,

For quokkas and nature, let's love and embrace.
