The Rock Pools

The Crabs scuttled like grim soldiers with bullets flying around them as they rushed into the deep, inky pools.
Seagulls waddled like fat toddlers along the sand and rocks looking for a tasty snack.
The rocks stabbed into my foot stinging like needles.
Dolphins swam out, catching waves like surfers at Bondi.
Each inky pool is like a story waiting to be told.
We have to preserve this rocky paradise and the sands that guard it.
It is the home of the small baby fish sea slugs, tiny barnacles and snails.
Does that make it less important?
