Silky ribbons wrapped around feet,
The satin shoes leap in the air.
They dance perfectly to the beat,
The entire audience stare.

The shoes, though dirty,
They hold so many dreams.
Late night concerts- around 12:30,
The satin ripping at the seams.

And in those shoes she pirouettes,
Not one noise escapes.
Even the youngest, all eyes are set,
Trained on her delicate shape.
