The skies awakening

The sky awakens in a flash

bright cracks fill the sky

the northern lights in full blast

a feeling of enlightenment fills me 

the magical sky smiling down at me.

As the sky begins to snow,

we watch a fox ply its way through

the aurora lights shine through the white valley

as all the other animals are safe and sound

this one fox doesn’t follow the crowd

hunting under the protection of the northern lights

We start to doze of to bed

when a bright flash fills our head

a cool breeze fills our tent

as the chattering of wolves keeps us awake

so we drink some hot chocolate 

then go back to bed as we doze off

under the bright aura of the northern lights

like a diamond shimmering bright.
