The Snake and the Kookaburra

The red-bellied snake slithers through the dirt,
I run, run, run because I do not want to get hurt.
The kookaburra flies fast through the sky,
Watching the snake from way up high.
I climb and watch from my favourite gum tree,
I feel safe up here where I'm free to see and just be me.
