The Sounds of Nature

The birds are a chorus in my head
The tall trees rustle in the cold breeze
A small fox snarls as it rips meat off its prey
And the waves burst onto the shore
Possum claws screech as they slide down a tree
An owl declares it's ready to hunt
Snakes hiss as they approach
While the wolves howl as day turns to night
White snow makes a racket as it falls
A school of fish glides through the water
Long green grass sways gently in the evening breeze
Soft twitching of the spiders' feet as they weave a piece of art
The first drop of rain brings ovation from all
Kangaroos bound through the burnt bush
A kookaburra cackles as it sits on a nearby branch
Bees delight as they fly to their hive
A magpie swoops and protects its babies
The bats squawk echos through the cave
Sugar-gliders soar from tree to tree
I love the sounds of nature
