The Wading Waters

The cool water of the river flowing against my hand,
As the river ebbed away with the sand.
I watched in wonder at the fish swimming by,
As they met with my eyes.
The splashing of the paddles from kayakers,
Landed on my face,
The fresh water tasted sweet and natural.
The swaying trees hummed a soft melody,
And I listened to it as I walked over to rest beside it.
The blossoms which made its way towards the ground,
Felt smooth on my cheek as,
I let the cascading sound of the water,
Calm me down,
And I slowly drifted to sleep.
